Happy Summer All,
I hope you are all having a splendid joy filled summer. I am now dividing my time between Takoma Park and our future retirement home in Oxford on the Eastern Shore. That translates into teaching my five classes at Willow Street Yoga Center, seeing private clients, and spending time with my four incredible grand-girls on the Western Shore for 3 and ½ days. On the Eastern Shore, my 3 and ½ days are spent pretty much living on my bike, in my kayak, meditating and practicing, exploring the creeks in our Boston whaler or relaxing with a good book. O, and I’ve started teaching a yoga class at the Oxford Community Center. Semi-retirement keeps one busy! So far, it seems to work well, and I can see this scenario for a number of years ahead. It seems the best of both worlds and I am blessed to be able to do both.
Betsey Downing and I now have 42 wonderful spirited women signed up for our November Spirited Women’s Retreat in Mexico and can take only three more participants. You can read about it and download the brochure here.
Betsey and I will also be teaching a four day mini Spirited Women’s Retreat at Kripalu in April of 2014.
The Jamaica brochure for Moses Brown’s and my tenth year on the cliffs of Negril is now on my website and registration will open August 1st. The dates are February 8-16, 2014 and it’s always one of the greatest fun times of the year. We have a huge return rate and I so look forward to re-connecting with all of you who I don’t get to see during the year.
My son Joe and his amazing wife Natalie have expanded our Willow Street location in Silver Spring to three new beautiful studios and are even offering baby- sitting services. They have worked incredibly hard to provide the very best environment for our students. I know you will all enjoy your classes and workshops there.
I am also pleased to be teaching two workshops for the Yoga Center of Columbia at Kathy Donnelly’s studio in the fall. On the weekend of September 28-29, I will be teaching a workshop on The Energy Body, and on October 12-13, I will be teaching How to Effectively Theme and Sequence for Kathy’s Teacher Training Program. Both are open to all teachers and advanced students. More information can be found by clicking here.
I will continue to study with Adyashanti, doing two seven day Silent Retreats each year. Each retreat with this humble and humorous little man brings me back again and again to what’s truly the most important thing in my life, to remember and move from the whole and divine being that I am.
So that’s the update. I wish you all a fun filled rest of your Summer, great yoga practices and classes, and that this profound practice of Yoga bring you closer to experiencing the very essence of the Wholeness/Holiness of who you are.
Blessings and Smiles,
Suzie
