Maine Spirited Women’s Retreat
July 9 – 15, 2027

The Story behind this Retreat
When I was in Maine last summer, tucked away in my little cabin, Mt. Spruce, just south of Belfast, someone told me about a wonderful retreat center not 15 minutes up the road. It is called The Limina Renewal Center, the word limina meaning the “space between.”
I was immediately drawn to this idea. We are constantly changing, moving, and transitioning as life carries us in different directions. Limina is that place in between — a space to pause, to honor where we have been and where we may be going, to rest and renew, and to listen deeply to whatever is quietly calling us forward.
After talking with Libby, the owner, and watching the videos on their website, I was excited to find that they have a beautiful, dedicated Yoga and Meditation Room, complete with props including bolsters. And best of all, I can bring a group of 16 spirited women there for a very special Spirited Women’s Yoga Retreat.

Please visit their website, The Limina Renewal Center, and be sure to take both virtual tours as well. I think you will be as excited as I was when I discovered this magical place!
The Center is located just north of Belfast, Maine, in the heart of the mid-coast, right on Penobscot Bay. Limina sits on 15 beautiful acres with 1,000 feet of water frontage. It is an easy flight to Portland from the DC area, and a two hour drive to Limina. Folks could fly together and rent a car for the week together. Or, you might choose to drive and turn the retreat into a longer Maine vacation on either end.
Why this retreat, and why now?
Many of my students, (including myself) have lost their life partners in recent years or unfortunately now live with partners that need caregiving. Others have lost parents, siblings and friends. Some have retired from busy work lives. Others are feeling the aging process more strongly, and some are dealing with health problems. Perhaps we are wondering what this next chapter might hold. Many are seeking a deeper connection to their own inner wisdom and in-dwelling guidance.

Labyrinths are universal patterns, ancient symbols of wholeness. Symbolic of a pilgrimage, labyrinths offer the space to quiet the mind, connect with your senses, and open yourself to the journey.
And all of us know that when spirited women come together, magic happens!
I feel sure that not only will we have a luxurious and beautiful place to rest, renew, practice yoga, meditate, laugh, explore, and simply be — but that our coming together in strength, wisdom, and friendship will create something more.
Together, we will have the opportunity to open to that space between, the limina, and listen for what is waiting there. As we connect more deeply to Spirit, I have no doubt it will help guide us, safely and wisely, into whatever our next chapter may be.
I hope you can join me for this very special week on the beautiful Maine coast.
